Our Story

Crowd under blue stage lights at a nighttime Kinfolk concert, with vendor tents and a full moon over the hills

We’re Brian, Devon, Corbin and Sawyer, and we’re the family behind Kinfolk.

Long before Kinfolk, Devon started Vintage Bazaar New England on a tiny flower farm. Over the next 16 years, she built a community around talented makers, great food, live music and people who came to feel more like family than customers. Kinfolk wouldn’t exist without her, the Bazaar or the community that grew around it.

Music has always been my world. She may even call it my obsession. I’ve spent years booking bands, building stages and believing that live music has a way of bringing together people who may have never met otherwise. Eventually we realized we could combine the two things we love most… a community built by the Vintage Bazaar and a festival built around music.

That’s Kinfolk.

I’ve always marched to my own drum. I dress how I want, listen to what I want and have never been very interested in fitting neatly into a box. I don’t think music, festivals or people should have to either.

We book artists we believe in and bring different kinds of music together on one stage. Come for the band you love, discover someone you’ve never heard, ride the rail, dance in the back or hang with us in the campground. We want artists to play with their friends, collabs to happen naturally and the fans to feel like they’re part of the day… because you are.

We want Kinfolk to feel safe.

Safe for Everyone.

The misfits, the outcasts and yes, even the cool kids. You all have a home here. No matter who you love. No matter how you identify. No matter where you come from. Come as you are, leave the ego behind and be kind to the people around you.

For one weekend, we come together on a mountain in New Hampshire to celebrate music, art, food and the people beside us. Some of us may arrive as strangers. Hopefully we don’t leave that way.

We’re building Kinfolk independently and doing it our way. We don’t know exactly how big this thing will become, but we know why we started it. As it grows, the musicians and the people who show up will always be the reason we keep doing it.

From our family to yours, welcome to Kinfolk.
